We used to spend a lot of time managing subcontractors, tracking documents and coordinating deliveries, because we had a separate isolated tool for everything. Excel here, an access system there, delivery traffic somewhere else again. And new login credentials for every site.

We spent a lot of time gathering information and jumping back and forth between systems. The old systems were simply error-prone.

We were very limited, and individual client requirements had to be covered with extra staffing. At some point we reached the stage where the old systems were no longer up to date.

The first thing that changed when we started working with Bausicht: queries dropped by 40 percent. They get a link, register, upload their documents and are done.

We have about 50 subcontractors on one site and everyone takes part. The system is also multilingual and easy for everyone to understand.

Internally, we need far less training. When a new site manager joins, a short briefing is enough and he can get started. And for a new site I can simply create a new project and invite all subcontractors with their existing logins.

And commissioning at site launch takes minutes instead of hours. The turnstile arrives on the truck already assigned in Bausicht, then the power goes in and that’s it.

Router and SIM are already inside, we need no electrician and no half day of setup.

On top of that comes the flexibility. I no longer have to be physically present on every site.

I can assign permissions, change settings, diagnose issues, all from a laptop or phone.

I can be in Dortmund this morning and look after three sites in Bochum in the afternoon without getting into the car. I could never have imagined that before.

All of this means we can deliver more on more construction sites. And Bausicht also supports us in sales.

When I mention Bausicht to a client, most of them nod and say: “Ah yes, I already know Bausicht.” I don’t have to explain anything or demonstrate anything anymore.

And thanks to the adaptability, I can commit to any service without running into problems during execution. That used to be different.
