No. Bausicht relies on MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 with AES-128 encryption. Every card receives a unique, card-specific AES key that is derived from the chip serial number using a documented industry procedure. Card and reader authenticate each other before any data flows. The master keys sit in Secure Access Modules (CC EAL6+) built into every reader, from the desk reader to the turnstile, and never leave the module. Simple UID cards and MIFARE Classic, by contrast, are insecure and can be copied with freely available devices.

In the ID card editor of the Bausicht online portal you design your badges yourself: place the profile photo, texts, company logo and QR code freely on the card. This gives every project and every company its own card layout, without any graphic designer.

Yes, with the printer set you print badges directly in the site office or container. It includes a high-quality construction site ID card printer, 2x color ribbons, a cleaning kit and a USB card reader with integrated security module. The printer connects via USB. To activate cards you install the Bausicht Bridge once, a small helper program for Chrome and Edge on Windows and macOS. Everything else runs in the browser. New workers receive their personalized badge in a matter of minutes.

You take the profile photo directly in the Bausicht interface, either with the laptop webcam or an external camera. No separate photo software is needed.

Yes. Workers, including their badges, can be transferred to new construction sites. For security reasons, transferred badges are initially blocked there and are unblocked once. This works remotely, without the person having to come by in person. A badge can also be re-issued to another person: the card is simply rewritten, the chip stays the same. This saves cost and material.

For spontaneous visitors there are reusable, pre-printed visitor and day passes. They are assigned in the portal to a person, company and time, with an expiry date if desired. After the badge is returned, the assignment ends; the history is kept for reports.
